I Need A Heart
Story Behind the Song
Written fairly quickly (an hour or so)in 1998, I Need A Heart refers to my quest to find people in the church who don't judge you, but accept you. I was attracted to the Christian message by the love and acceptance of Jesus as portrayed in the Bible, but repelled by the lack of these qualities shown in Christians. The song calls for people to show their heart, not their condemnation, to anyone who may not be perfect yet. It was recorded in two takes in March, 2000.
