Painted Lips
Peachy Keen was formed three years ago and have just released their debut self-titled album on Monkey Records.
The song Painted Lips is taken from a play of the same name by singer/songwriter Kathryn van Beek. It's about falling in love with a drag queen without ever seeing him as a man.
Peachy Keen performed this song at the Wellington Fringe Festival 2003 with three rollerskating choreographers/dancers dressed in stubbies.
Special guest, Ben Campbell (Ddub, Ishta) plays sax on Painted Lips.
