Pluto live at The Office Bar, Highland Park 31st March 07

There wasn't much of a crowd at the Office Bar on Saturday night, but Pluto still put on a top notch performance. Each song was played precisely - even including the hand clapping in Dance Stamina much to the delight of the audience.

Starting the show softly with Hey Little, they built up to all the Pipeline favourites – Moja Rijeka, Long white Cross, Radio Crimes, and included a heap of new songs which will hopefully be gracing their new album.

Watching each band member is a treat…especially Mike Franklin-Browne when he's bashing the crap out of the drums grinning away like it's the first time he's played live. Tim Arnold played his guitar rock n' roll style all night, while Mike Hall played the bass ever so delicately. And while all this was going on Mathias Jordan was hidden away to the right of the stage on the keyboards but making sure he was heard.

Another favourite song for the evening was their cover of The Clash's Clampdown – everyone went nuts over it, including the girlie next to me…I'm sure I ended up with half her drink on me!

The crowd pleaser of the night (which might I say got requested between every song) was Perfectly Evil…and that's exactly what it was!

How lead singer Milan Borich can go from singing so gently to so dirty in one line is something that you have to experience for yourself to believe it.

So check them out, buy their albums and make them big! They're good New Zealand boys and they deserve your money!
