The sax solos are killers, the trumpets are magical and there is some of the best harmonica playing ever heard in NZ. Meanwhile the slide guitar and organ deliver all the fancy blues licks that you'll love so much. This album is a great example of rhythm and blues and it has vocals that will touch you emotionally.
It's quite rare these days to actually get an album that can be listened to from start to finish. There always seems to be those four or five (though sometimes six or seven) that you hope after a while you might grow to like. Well Don't Hold Back has no cheap filler.
