I'm talking about the live at auckland album
Posted by j-guy 9.43AM, 12 Oct 2010I would say that this album is a definite �you had to be there� reminisce type album. I find it a hard listen, overly repetitive and long winded songs with slow progression. Symptomatic of the live performance slow jam but not constructed for repeat listening. My comments are generalisations and there are some nice parts, but these are overall outweighed by the negatives and I find myself skipping through tracks. Some of the male vocals in particular are painful and just sound wrong. Very disappointed to run with the Kiwi FM hype around this and purchase without a good listen first. Live and learn. No one else wants to acknowledge this, is it because the line up are the current flavour all-stars, or is it because my ears are out of kilter!!! Chur.
