After twelve years of churning and crafting, Fur Patrol release their third long-player, Local Kid.
With Tony Cohen (Nick Cave's long-time producer, collaborator) at the helm, Local Kid is a different beast than Fur Patrol's previous releases. It's raw, it's vulnerable and Julia Dean's magical vocal has more space and is more prevalent than ever. She moves from a soft husky whisper to pure yearning on the first radio single Great Leap Forward, exudes defiant pop attitude on Hidden Agenda, then softens again to the perfect moody balladeer on Silences And Distances...and that's just the first three tracks...
