End The Silence

Their debut self-titled album (2002) achieved one of the highest ship-out & pre-order figures ever seen from a local band, beating legends Nirvana and Foo Fighters to the coveted #1 position in the New Zealand charts

They took on Australia & Southeast Asia in 2004, hitting the big-league with a phenomenal tour backed by MTV – playing to crowds as big as 70,000 in Indonesia, complete with a near riot & personal bodyguards

Blindspott's very first single Nil By Mouth sold all of its first pressing on its first day of release. It was followed by a succession of radio hits - Room To Breathe, S.U.I.T, Lit Up, Phlex, Blank & Yours Truly. Their fans have stuck close by and with the new album there'll be new fans to hang out with – all of them now waiting impatiently for End The Silence

At the end of 2005 the band started recording their new album with Swedish producers Pelle Henrickson and Eskil
Lovestrom, who have worked with bands such as Poison the Well, Refused and Cult of Luna.

Heavy in a way Blindspott only hinted at, this is unashamedly metal, with no need of a prefix. "This album is just a metal album," says drummer Shelton Woolright. "It doesn't really fit into a genre, like the whole Emo sound that's around now. This will be an album you'll be able to put on years later and it'll still be refreshing and solid."
