The Overflow
The imminent departure of vocalist & lyricist Peter Keen to an oceanographic research vessel hurtling about on fearsome oceans over 5km above the seabed for the next 2yrs drove the two to complete this project before he left. The result is a rich & compellingly melodious body of work with not a single dud in the lineup of tracks. It's clear artistic goals were the only focus.
Humphreys' songwriting & arrangements meshed with Keen's unique honey voice makes a musical experience like a big, dreamy swim, but beware… 'The Overflow' has depth, darkness & a considerable undertow. Which is key to its appeal...
