Many bands enjoyed success in the sixties but none were as unique as The Quincy Conserve, who were led by vocalist Malcolm Hayman and spent most of their career as the resident band at Wellington's Downtown Club.
The group featured top class musicians and were special in that they included a talented brass section. Drummer Bruno Lawrence spent some time with the band in 1970 and penned there biggest hit and Golden Disc Award finalist, Ride The Rain...
