The Mutton Birds formed in 1991 in New Zealand. Don McGlashan, David Long (replaced by Chris Sheehan in 1996), Ross Burge and Alan Gregg have released 4 albums in NZ all of which have exceeded gold sales status and have achieved international acclaim with releases throughout Europe, South America and Canada.
Don McGlashan received an APRA Silver Scroll top songwriting prize for 'Anchor Me' and was recently awarded this year's $30000 Laureate Musicians Award.
