Gold Medal Famous Tour Dates
Wellington avant-garde pop group Gold Medal Famous are taking their eclectic new album 100% Pure on a North Island tour starting November 17 in Masterton (at the aptly named Golden Shears). Showcasing the various styles and thematic hang-ups of the band at this point in time, 100% Pure continues the Gold Medal Famous commitment to a wide variety of genres: from electro-pop to the sludge-metal to many forms of experimentalism, there is something on 100% Pure for all tastes, and what better way to judge for yourself than to see them in action?
Part way through their own tour, Gold Medal Famous crash into the Tunnelling Our Way to Infamy Tour being hosted by Tauranga Music Sux, which departs Tauranga on the 21st and 22nd of November. A group of TMS acts including Josef Fritzl Family Jamboree, Threat.Meet.Protocol. and Blind Lemsip Jefferson are to play as many tunnels across the North Island as inhumanly possible. The Gold Medal Famous connection happens on Sunday November 25, 2:36pm, at the TMS Tunnel (opposite about 336 Ngatai Road); they'll be joined there by the Delta Hood Rap Connection and Wheatbags Anonymous.
Gold Medal Famous cap off their tour, returning to their hometown of Wellington and supporting Auckland's Drab Doo-Riffs at Mighty Mighty.
