Northern Bass Final Line-Up
Spring is in the air and suddenly the great Kiwi Summer is just around the corner. If you haven't already made plans, it's time to start thinking about where you want to be for NYE.
As we farewell 2012, the only place to be is the Northern Bass music festival. Located at the Worsfold farm in Mangawhai just one hour north of Auckland, the second annual Northern Bass music festival promises a spectacular two days of music and entertainment in a stunning outdoor environment.
Taking place over December 30 and 31, Northern Bass is a music festival designed to accommodate both day-trippers and those who wish to camp onsite and stay over night. Nestled amongst the picturesque hills of the Northland countryside, the site features a fresh water swimming lagoon, ample camping space, and a large range of food and refreshments. Event promoters FuZen Entertainment promise a party-orientated atmosphere to ensure 2013 is seen in with a bang.
The full and final line-up for Northern Bass is now in place. Joining the previously announced acts, the organisers are pleased to announce the addition of SpectraSoul (drum & bass), Dark Sky (dubstep), Jstar (DJ and remix artist) and A-Sides (drum & bass). These four acts join the following line-up of heavy-hitting, bass-heavy dancefloor destroyers to ensure Northern Bass goes off with a BOOM!
Headlining the midnight NYE set is Undisputed world #1 Drum & Bass DJ ANDY C. The Ram Records Don headlines Northern Bass 2012 and brings, along with killer tunes, his latest signing in breakout DnB artist Wilkinson. Also hailing from the UK is Manchester producer Dub Phizix performing with regular contributor MC Strategy. Championing NZ Drum & Bass are international renowned artist/producers Concord Dawn, State of Mind and The Upbeats.
Representing Dubstep, FuZen is pleased to have secured genre heavyweights Mala and Coki performing as Digital Mystikz, and UK producer/DJs Silkie and Quest, collaborators on the recent Dubstep Allstars release. Each artist will perform their own set at Northern Bass 2012. Also appearing will be Chestplate records head honcho Distance, another artist returning for the second installment of the Northern Bass story. Jason Howson and Duddy Ranks will be flying the NZ Dubstep flag at Northern Bass 2012.
Hip-Hop finds its way into the Northern Bass mix for 2012 with the addition of Queens NYC crew The Beatnuts. JuJu and Psycho Les bring their hits and party hard attitude to New Zealand's premium NYE bass event. And from the UK we welcome prolific remixers The Nextmen. The producer and songwriting duo of Dom Search and Brad Baloo bring their mashup DJ Style to Northern Bass 2012. New Zealand Hip-hop will be well represented by Supervillan RMC, Dylan C and Eddie Numbers.
Finally, hot on the heels of his sellout New Zealand Tour and transcending all of the Genres at Northern Bass will be DubFX performing with collaborator and fiance Flowerfairy.
Stunning Outdoor Venue - Worsfold Farm Mangawhai
After the success of the inaugural Northern Bass at Haruru Falls, that saw thousands in attendance, FuZen was flooded with demands to do it all again. Bigger, better and closer to Auckland! Enter Worsfold farm Mangawhai, the new home for Northern Bass. Nestled amongst the picturesque hills of the Northland countryside, the site will allow a level of comfort and space not normally found at NYE events. Beautiful sloping hills, fresh water swimming lagoon, ample camping space, a expanded range of food and refreshments, better facilities and of course loads of bass from an incredible array of the world's finest DJs and live acts from the realms of drum & bass, dubstep and hip-hop.
Northern Bass is where you want to be this New Year's with entertainment and camping on both the 30th and 31st of December.
