Kimbra's Album Debuts At Number 14 On The US Billboard 200

Kimbra's album Vows, released recently in the US, has debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200.
Having just heard the incredible news, Kimbra said "It means a lot to have my album recognised in America at this level, it's been an amazing experience to see it all come into fruition especially after the time, energy and effort it took to complete. I'm now really excited to be touring the US and sharing these songs with people one on one, it's cathartic to have them transcend from being my experiences to now being someone else's."
Kimbra also features in the number 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 with Gotye for the worldwide smash hit single 'Somebody That I Used To Know', which has now spent an astonishing 21 weeks in the US charts.
Mark Richardson, CEO of Outpost (Kimbra's management), said "This result reflects the effort and the undeniable quality of Kimbra, and the resources Outpost Management with WBR have committed to the Vows album. Kimbra has had such an amazing year with her success in Australia and New Zealand, the global success of Gotye's single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' and now with her debut release in the USA and Vows' chart entry at number 13. This also highlights the talent we have in Australia and New Zealand and the impact these artists can have on the global music scene ......exciting times".
Following on from the US tour, Kimbra will return to Australia for Splendour In The Grass and then head to the UK and Europe for her album release there.
In New Zealand, Vows is platinum and the two-disc deluxe edition of the album with six brand new tracks is currently available, featuring the hit single Warrior.
