Disasteradio Announces Vinyl Release Tour

Here's a welcome message from our mate Luke Rowell aka Disasteradio!
"In October 2011, Disasteradio returns to New Zealand after an epic five month tour around the world and celebrates it by releasing his acclaimed album Charisma on 12" black vinyl, the first vinyl release from A Low Hum.
In a pretty unprecedented (most would call stupid) move, the album will be pay-as-you-like - to celebrate how well the digital release of the album did using that philosophy. Yip, that is right - you can pay whatever you can afford for a copy of Charisma on 12" vinyl, or if you don't have a record player, a sweet digi-pak CD.
Serious. Perhaps you're plum outta cash from a filesharing lawsuit, or you're a poor student and after the show will be going home to a meal of catfood and cornflakes. We'll graciously accept your last dollar. If you've got a job and happy to support the Disasteradio project, please pay whatever you can/wish. No judgements.
This is probably going to piss off a few labels who might think I'm undervaluing physical product - especially vinyl which we all know costs an arm and a leg to get to NZ anyway, but that is the point. I'm not even sure if music packaging even has a value anymore. I want to know what people think good music is worth, and this will determine how I approach releasing music in the future.
We have a firm belief that music fans are awesome and will pay what they can actually afford, and that those who can afford to pay more will balance out those who have paid little. Charisma (LP & CD) will not be available in stores, only from the shows on this tour".
So what are waiting for! Let's start marking it in our calendars to get down to these shows and show our support!
