Martin Phillipps Solo And The Chills One-Off Shows

Dunedin-based band The Chills are pleased to announce they will be performing a one-off Auckland show Friday 29 July at the King's Arms. Joining them on stage will be another seminal Dunedin band - The Puddle.
This show will follow The Chills founder Martin Phillipps' solo performance in support of the Hone Tuwhare Trust, Thursday 7 July at The Classic Theatre.
Martin comments "I am really getting lots of enjoyment out of my music at present and it will be great fun to have the five-piece band we took to Australia last year on stage again. Regarding the solo show supporting the idea of a writers residence around Hone's crib, Kaka Point is a wonderful environment and I am sure it will prove to be creatively stimulating for many people. I am proud to have been asked to participate in this benefit gig."
The Chills played two sold out shows to critical acclaim in Sydney and Melbourne last year. Now we in New Zealand are lucky to have another chance to see them perform live, as well as Martin Phillipps solo!
