Darren Watson And Matt Langley August Tour

Darren Watson and Matt Langley released two of New Zealand's most critically acclaimed albums in 2010, and this August they will hit the road to showcase their authentic blend of blues, folk and alt-country music.
The tour will take in some of the South Island's most delightful venues, and will showcase Darren and Matt playing tracks from their extensive back catalogues.
Darren Watson is widely acknowledged as one of New Zealand's premier live performers. He has released four critically acclaimed albums, been nominated for a NZ Music Award, and in 2008 he took out the blues category at the prestigious International Songwriting Competition. In 2010 Darren released Saint Hilda's Faithless Boy to universal acclaim. The Dominion Post raved, "This is world class. We are lucky to have him", and Nick Bollinger at Radio National said, "Listen. You won't hear a better contemporary blues album this year. From anywhere."
Matt Langley released his debut LP Featherbones in December 2010 with a whirlwind 20-date New Zealand tour. The album features 2010 APRA Country Song of the Year 7.13. The NZ Herald called it "as good a debut singer-songwriter album as you could expect" and the Sunday Star Times glowed that "it is one of life's great simple pleasures to hear a voice like this".
Wellington singer-songwriter Matt Hay and his keyboard player Clint Meech will provide support for the tour.
Admit it, you'd be a fool to miss out on seeing this greast line-up of artists onstage.
