Mt Eden Announces Tour With Bulletproof

George FM is pleased to announce that Mt Eden are set to hit the road on a national tour, starting in Hamilton on 4 August with their special guest -DJ/Producer Bulletproof.

As dubstep production duo Mt Eden (formerly Mt Eden Dubstep), Jesse Hooper and Harley Rayner are truly putting New Zealand - and dubstep as a genre - on the map. To date the duo can claim over 70 million collective plays of their tracks on YouTube.

Having recently released their EP Meds, Mt Eden are already at work on their debut album. Currently touring the USA, Mt Eden are blowing away American audiences playing with some of the world's most renowned DJs such as Skrillex, Doctor P, Datsik, Flux Pavlion and Andy C. Recently playing in Las Vegas at the Electric Daisy Carnival, Mt Eden won over an audience of 20,000 plus punters, putting them on the map in the US.

So following their 15 date sell out tour in the US, they guide their ship back to Aotearoa to play on home ground and debut tunes from their upcoming album, fresh from the studio to their Kiwi audience. Mt Eden will also be stepping up the live show on this tour, welcoming the addition of drummer/percussionist Hamish Jackson, to give yet another dimension to their live sound and performance.

Meds shows are something of a religious experience, building and dropping through a sonic landscape creating moments of unbridled delirium. With a yin and yang ethos to dubstep, these are two purveyors of both the darker side of the genre, punctuated by ecstatic highs, as the light shines through.

"We have always played a good mixture of light and dark, so it can be an uplifting and gut-wrenching journey all at the same time," elaborates Cooper.

Bulletproof needs little introduction. His achievements have helped spawn the rise of the local future bass music production scene, being sighted by names like Concord Dawn, The Upbeats and State Of Mind and his latest LP Dub Me Crazy has just been released to universal acclaim.

Make sure not to miss these shows, covering the length of the country!
