BIGSOUND 2011 Applications Open

Australian and International artists will have the rare chance to perform in front of some of the international music industry's most influential figures at BIGSOUND Live 2011.

BIGSOUND will celebrate its 10th Anniversary in 2011 with a reputation as the best and most relevant music event in Australia. Produced by Q Music (Queensland Music Network Inc), BIGSOUND attracts local, national and international musicians, buyers and industry representatives to Brisbane's Fortitude Valley for three days of networking, inspiring panels, keynote speakers and live showcases of the hottest talent around.

BIGSOUND Live will hand pick 60 of the hottest new acts (including 10 from New Zealand) to showcase their talent in one of the six stages throughout the Valley. Previous acts have included The Naked And FamousThe Middle East, Temper Trap, Washington, Boy & Bear, Children Collide, Cloud Control, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Little Red and many more.

BIGSOUND Live tickets are the best buy around and thousands of music fans converge on Fortitude Valley over the two nights to check out the showcases.

Please Note:

  • Queensland based, national and international artists are encouraged to submit.
  • There is no travel assistance available and each successful act will be responsible for landing themselves in Brisbane.
  • Selected artists will be notified in June 2011.
  • Acts to be available in Brisbane 7 - 9 September 2011.
  • International artists will need a visa, but Q Music/BIGSOUND will assist.
  • Q Music may also be able to provide international artists with supporting documentation for appropriate local government funding programs.
  • BIGSOUND will have a Hardcore/Punk spotlight in this year's conference program and showcase so if your act fits into these genres you should apply.

In the last nine years BIGSOUND has seen many world class industry leaders and visionaries share the stage and their thoughts. 2011 will be no different with the first speaker announcement including:
