The Naked And Famous Make The US Billboard 200!
New Zealand's very own Naked And Famous would have had some incredible news to wake up to this morning. Their fantastic 2010 album Passive Me Aggressive You, featuring the memorable singles All Of This, Frayed, The Sun, Young Blood, Punching In A Dream and Girls Like You, scored the band a great enough victory by blasting its way to number one on the local RIANZ Album Chart immediately following its release here.
But now, The Naked And Famous has even more to celebrate about! The album has just entered the US Billboard 200 at number 91 - not a small achievement at all by a young and humble New Zealand outfit! As if to further emphasise their awesomeness, The Naked And Famous has also managed to rank at number 20 on the Rock Albums and Digital Albums charts in the week of the album's release. To top it all off, they've hit number 12 on the Alternative Albums chart!
Congratulations to The Naked And Famous - they have done both themselves and their country proud. It really is clear what sort of talent we're privileged to have wriggling away in this Kiwi cocoon, just waiting to spread its wings.
