The Masonic Tavern in Devonport will be open again for the 2011 summer! The venue was going to be turned into apartments but the developments have been held up for a year or two so The Sounds of Summer event will be staying at this location until further notice. This year, it's scheduled for Saturday 19 February.

Situated on Devonport's waterfront, the venue's surrounding outdoor areas and car parks are secured and transformed into amazing open-air party zones for this spectacular summertime event.

Complimenting the outdoor space is the multi-level Masonic venue that boasts two large rooms with expansive harbour views.

This year Highlife Entertainment will be adding a live music element to the event with performances from some great Kiwi bands!

Along with this, expect a huge line up of DJ favourites, the best production, sound, lighting, decor and crowd that a summer party of this nature can offer.

A superb selection of house music, live acts, funk, soul, jazz, old school hip hop and more will be combined with food, refreshments and all sorts of live summery sounds, giving you a seaside summer party experience that you will never forget.

It's also the same day as the Devonport Food, Wine and Music Festival, which is happening just down the road. So head over to Devonport and make a day out of it!
