Due to the recent earthquakes shaking the Canterbury region, The Black Seeds have announced their performance scheduled for this Saturday 11 September will be postponed.

With the State of Emergency extension in place for another seven days in the central CBD, the decision to postpone was the band's only option. With no guarantees of reliable power and water, plus the threat of further aftershocks, it made it unwise to go ahead.
A new date of Saturday 30 October has been set and will take place at the same venue. The Bedford has not been affected by the quakes and is structurally sound.

All tickets will be transferable to the new date, or those wanting a refund can contact the ticketing outlets. Those wanting to purchase tickets to the show on Saturday 30 October can purchase online at www.eventfinder.co.nz from Saturday 11 September.

Barnaby Weir from The Black Seeds said "Our thoughts go out to the people of Canterbury. Our sincere apologies for having to postpone, but we're looking forward to coming back in October and playing for the people of Christchurch".

All other shows scheduled for this week are still going as planned.
