Tiki and Dane put Pukekohe on the radar

[press release]
Pukekohe Town Hall isn't a noted spot on the music scene, unless you're a Suzanne Prentice or Brendan Dugan fan. But country music is unlikely to be on the agenda when Tiki Taane, Dane Rumble and Ivy Lies take over the Hall on Saturday, May 15.
This will be the first time Tiki and Dane will perform together as solo artists, after leaving their respective bands Salmonella Dub and Fast Crew.
Like a lot of us, Tiki has been keeping an eye on Dane's rapid progress up the charts.
"Dane is making some great pop songs with tight production", says Tiki, "and he has really stepped it up with awesome videos. I think he's learnt a lot from his experiences with Fast Crew, musically and most of all business wise, and has totally come into his own."
Dane sounds pretty stoked to be appearing with one of Kiwi music's most-established stars too.
"Sharing the bill with Tiki is a massive deal for me. He's a Kiwi legend and an artist I've looked up to for many years."
On May 15, Pukekohe gets a double-dose of Dane. That afternoon he'll do an all-ages show with Ivy Lies. While at night, Tiki, who'll play acoustically and with DJ Sambora from Shapeshifter, will join Dane and Ivy Lies for an R18 show.
Rhys Darby had Pukekohe Town Hall full when he popped out in November, but this will be the first time in ages that the venue has been the site of a major rock event.
Tickets for the afternoon show are on sale through iTicket, while the R18 tickets are at Ticketmaster.
