1814 Comes to Palmerston North

11.03.10
[press release]
1814 are the hottest reggae band we're all listening to right now and Kia Ora FM is bringing them to Palmerston North!!
1814 are an 8-piece reggae band and we're proud to say they're from Aotearoa. Hailing from the mighty Northland and what started out as gigging for local events and festivals from Northland has now spread to a great demand for the roopu to play nationwide and abroad. 1814 has been in NZ's music scene for the past two years and have crazed us with their latest singles Jah Rastafari and My Dear Friend.
Their debut album Jah Rydem has been described as having an up-beat, funky, r'n'b reggae feel to it and has been well received around the country.
They have been musically matched with the likes of Katchafire, House of Shem and the Herbs. They have shared the stage with Aardijah, Cornerstone Roots, Che Fu and Moana and the Moa hunters to name a few.
