Arch Hill Is 10. Birthday BBQ Ft. Bands (updated)

18.02.10
[updated 24.02]

We have made some slight changes to the BBQ on Sunday.

1. Now it's only $5!!!

2. Now there may be even more exciting bands playing.

3. We have BBQ masters and a yummy looking menu!

The best way to celebrate this is to kick back with a BBQ and a beer on a Sunday afternoon at the Kings Arms and listen to some excellent bands...

The secrecy is partly because we think it makes the lineup more interesting, but also partly because there are all kinds of possibilities. Who knows who might turn up and play!

There might be a band originally from the 1990s where all three members went on afterwards to have somehow have something to do with Arch Hill - including our first ever release, maybe another band who started in the 1980's but just released their last album on Arch Hill, maybe some other bands with more to do with Mystery Girl Tours and also some other recently formed bands to keep those with shorter memories happy....plus other surprises as well!...whoever it is we do know it will be choice. Hell, we might even surprise ourselves!

It's going to be an interesting musical lucky dip.

BBQ will be cooking between 5-7pm, with vege, non vege and tasty options.

Yum yum Sausages $3 each
Vinnie and Jamie's Famous Fajita Sandwiches (Green Capsicum, Sliced Steak and Onions) $5
Vege Kebabs $2 each
Sweet ol' Corn on the cob $2 each

Kicks off at 3pm

Tickets a stupidly cheap $5 at the door.

[original press release]

It's pretty hard (for Ben) to believe but it's 10 years since we started Arch Hill Recordings.

Since then we've released approximately 42 albums and been involved in all kinds of musical stuff - including Mystery Girl Presents bringing some pretty choice international bands to New Zealand (in fact Pavement is playing the Auckland Town Hall on the following day).

We figured the best way to celebrate Arch Hill, Mystery Girl and a few significant birthdays was to kick back with a BBQ and a beer on a Sunday afternoon at the Kings arms and listen to some excellent bands including

GHOST CLUB
SURF CITY
FAMILY CACTUS
WHITE SWAN BLACK SWAN

PLUS - at least one (maybe more??) mystery bands...  We'll give you a clue- it starts with S and and with an E, and has an uper in there somewhere.

Sunday 28th February, At the Kings Arms, Kicking off at 3pm.

Tickets $15 from www.undertheradar.co.nz or $20 on the door.
