The Midnights are a 5 piece Auckland favorite who have graduated from performances at Aucklands seediest bars and venues to appearing nationally alongside such luminaries as The Wailers, UB40, The Skatalites, Third World, Big Youth and virtually all of New Zealand's top reggae acts. The Midnights live career has seen them play around the country and perform at many top festivals including the Raggamuffin Fest, Parihaka Peace Fest and the Raglan Reggae Soundsplash. The Midnights are finally ready to back up their live reputation with a studio album which is due this summer!!
EmceeSilva (a.k.a Tanya Dyer) hails from central Auckland where she grew up on the streets of Mt Roskill and Grey Lynn. Her talented and unique style is inspired by her father's Jamaican roots and her love for hip hop beats and soulful grooves. With much of her childhood years being spent with the Twelve Tribes of Israel New Zealand, her quick-fire conscious lyrics and positive vibe are definitely not to be missed. Silva has also rocked stages with some of Aotearoa's finest talent including members of The Krates (Che Fu), Batucada Sound Machine, Dam Native and Ladi6.
