Samoa Relief Concert Announce National Benefit Series

Tickets for the Auckland Vector Arena concert on Monday 19th October have been selling rapidly with the lower bowl completely sold out, leaving only GA tickets and limited upper bowl seats available. This gig WILL sell out - book online now from www.ticketmaster.co.nz tickets only $25.00. Doors open at 7pm.
Following the successful launch of the Auckland concert, the 'I Love the Islands' organising committee is proud to announce the following national concerts:
Christchurch: Tuesday 20 October, Westpac Arena.
Doors at 6pm, show at 7pm. Tickets $25 through Ticketek and on the door.
Featuring Scribe, Savage, Oscar Kightley, Teuila Blakeley, Anika Moa, Ladi 6 & Parks, Adeaze, Lapi Mariner, LA Mitchell, Mark Vanilau, Pacific Underground, D'sendantz, Lissel Stewart, A Hori Buzz, Te Kotahitanga Kapa Haka
Dunedin: Wednesday 21 October, Glenroy Auditorium, Town Hall Centre.
Doors at 6pm, show at 7pm. Tickets $15 sold through Ticketek and on the door.
Artists include: Scribe, Savage, Oscar Kightley, Teuila Blakeley, Ladi 6 & Parks, Shayne Carter, MC Beau, Koile, Max Dad E, Boogiemen, Soul Deep, Left or Right.
New Plymouth: Sunday 25 October, TSB Stadium.

Artists include: Scribe, Savage, Oscar Kightley, Teuila Blakeley, Laughing Samoans, Mission Choir, Rosita Vai, TJ Taotua, Beatrootz, Ben Makisi, Legacy Dance Crew, Musical Island Boys, Aaradhna, and the Yandall Sisters.

These concerts are being organised and presented by a collective of Pacific music leaders, including the Pacific Music Awards Trust, Dawn Raid Music, Ole Maiava, Teresa Patterson, Petrina George, Scribe, Savage and Oscar Kightley and Brent Eccles Entertainment.
Local reps are organising the details in each centre, including Tanya Muagututi'a and Pos Mavaega from Pacific Underground in Christchurch, Pip Laufiso in Dunedin, Anand Rose in New Plymouth and Pati Umaga in Wellington. The Pacific Music Awards Trust is represented by Petrina George (info@pacificmusicawards.org.nz, www.pacificmusicawards.org.nz). The New Zealand Pacific music community is coming together for these concerts.
"Our artists and our communities are directly affected by this tsunami and the concerts are our way of raising funds to assist Samoa's recovery and to help our people back home" Brotha D (CEO - Dawn Raid Music).
The collective have confirmed that the funds raised from all the 'I Love the Islands' concerts will be administered by the Pacific Music Awards Trust and will then be allocated to the Samoa Tsunami 2009 Appeal Charitable Trust. The office of the Samoa Tsunami 2009 Appeal Charitable Trust is located on the Ground Floor, Samoa House, 283 Karangahape Road, Auckland Central. Ph: 09 368 9003 www.samoatsunami2009appeal.org The key contacts for this Trust include Consul General Faolotoi Repena Pogi and Laauli Michael Jones. The Trust is also supported by the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs. Allocations from the funds raised from the concerts will also be made to the villages of Poutasi and Lalomanu, which are the villages of Scribe and Savage respectively.
