[press release]
Rio Hunuki-Hemopo former bass player and singer/songwriter of the now defunked TrinityRoots, has spend the last few years touring/recording and play live throughout New Zealand and around the world, with the likes Fat Freddy's Drop, Breaks Co-Op, Scribe, Fly my pretties, Hollie Smith and many more....
Bitten by the beat, Rio continued to write, entered the Lyall Bay studio of The Drop, crafting a lush three track 12inch EP produce by Fat Freddy's Drop master - Mu. This limited release (May'08) of 500 vinyl records has since sold out.
"Rio Hunuki-Hemopo's vinyl taster from his forthcoming solo album, is the most splendid slice of slo-mo hip-hop funk I've every heard emerge from this country. Produced by Mu, it is a irresistible mid tempo head nodder." Grant Smithies (Herald)
