Ragamuffin Children, and Wellington based band - Spartacus R, are about to embark on their NZ wide album release tours....
 
Ragamuffin Children's second album 'The Seahorse Emporium' is due for release in early February.

It was recorded by Lee Prebble at the Surgery. at the beginning of November 08, and funded by Creative NZ.
 
For their release shows in Christchurch, South Island, and Wellington, Ragamuffin Children will have a full band to accompany them. For the rest of their shows, they will be touring with Benjamin James (Spartacus R) on Clarinet, Accordion, and Synth, along with Karena-Tui on Backing Vocals.

While Spartacus R have much local industry and musician support, the music itself differs considerably from that around NZ at the moment. It follows a lineage of music with histories more likely to be found in parts of Germany, England or the states. Taking inspiration from bands such as Radiohead, Can, and Pink Floyd.
