Hangman & Payola The People Will Prevail Tour

26.08.08
Hangman & Payola set out on a North Island jaunt in October. Both bands have new singles due very soon and "The People Will Prevail" Tour looks set to be a rollicking good time out in the provincial centers. Payola recently delivered a blistering set at Homegrown Festival courtesy of The Rock FM,
"Payola just had that bit extra, that little something different; their song 'Oscillator' just sounds like it should be on a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack"- Riccardo Bell (The Rock)
They are working on their second album for release in 2009 as a follow up to "Dirt and Stars" voted in the Top 20 releases of 2007 by amplifier and also featured on the forthcoming "Outrageous Fortune"compilation. The BBC recently played them on Introducing Tom Robinson which scours the net for the best new music online. Hangman features the talents of DJ Definite Brent Strathdee and Rip It Up magazine described their debut E.P "Raw Materials" as "coming up from the grassroots level, Hangman are ready to explode". Their single "Spinning" is out very soon and the band have been playing anywhere and everywhere. Their recent inclusion in the higly popular "Parihaka Festival" was greatly received and they will be repeating that performance at the next. Kiwi FM have given great support to Hangman and the second half of 2008 looks to be a busy and productive time.
Get along to the shows, they promise to be a night of supercharged high decibel soul music, rock and hip hop!!!
