Voom - The Slopes of Love Tour

22.07.08

After playing very few gigs over the past year Voom are hitting the road for the Slopes of Love Tour. Months of recording, jamming, rerecording and impassioned slacking have bought about the itch to play some live shows. That combined with the desire to go snowboarding and maybe score some Scandinavian ski babes has brought the band to this very point. What better place to find love than New Zealands beautiful mountain ranges? Joined on the bill by the enigmatic Runaround Soundsystem djs. The charming Friendly Barnicle play in Wellington and the brilliant Demi Whores will be playing the Auckland show. Look forward to hearing some heart warming classics and radio hits from their previous albums, 1998s Now I Am Me and 2006s Hello, Are You There? And of course future smash hits too!

Voom have been creating their unique brand of soulful rock for over a decade. Now with the established line up of founding member Buzz Moller, Murray Fisher and Mike Beehre both formerly from Goodshirt and Nick Buckton previously from Polaar and now fronting his own burgeoning solo project, Side Kick Nick. Not long after the successful release of Hello, Are You There? on Lil Chief Records in 2006 the band began recording new material. Watch out for new Voom music on your airwaves soon!
