The Grand Finale of the More FM Winery Tour March 2nd
Civic Events is pleased to announce a special Grand Finale performance of the More FM Winery Tour 2008 at Villa Maria Estate in Auckland on Sunday, 2 March.
The Line up will be Bic Runga, Greg Johnson, Anika Moa, Goldenhorse and Dr Tree.
Co-founder of Civic Events, Campbell Smith says "this is such an exciting end to our annual Winery Tour. Having great New Zealand talent getting together in such a beautiful location encapsulates exactly what the Winery Tour is all about."
After headlining last year's inaugural More FM Winery Tour, Bic Runga returns to the stage for the first time in New Zealand for a year and since giving birth to her first child, Joseph in July 2007 – and as a special treat, Bic is offering her fans the unique opportunity to create her set list for her. Fans can vote for her to perform their favourite Bic songs at the Winery Tour website – www.winerytour.com
Greg Johnson has been described by the Boston Globe as having "that rare ability to encapsulate universal emotions in a single phrase or two. There seems to be no limit to his reach or his talent.'' He will be returning to New Zealand for the show and be performing hits from his seven incredible albums.
Anika Moa and Goldenhorse will already be well experienced at performing at New Zealand vineyards as they will have completed all 14 dates on the Winery Tour 2008 throughout the country.
Dr Tree is making a return to the New Zealand live scene and will be opening the Grand Finale. Dr Tree formed in the late 1970s and were New Zealand's first fusion band. They have been described as rock-jazz fusion, afro-rock, afro-jazz - a mind blowing musical experience, not to be missed.
