Luke Hurley in Concert
Iconic singer/songwriter and maverick guitar-slinging legend Luke Hurley performs a special concert at the Titirangi Theatre in Auckland tomorrow night with special guest David Parker (not the MP). Show starts at 8 pm and tickets are $12 from Titirangi Pharmacy or $15 at the door - phone 817 7253.
Monkey released Luke's Best Of back in March and we are happy to say that it has gone on to be one of our best sellers yet. The 18 track compilation features all of his most well known songs of yesteryear and a few wee gems we unearthed from the vaults plus his latest recording 'The Sound'.
The Weekend Sun said this album "deserves a place in every Kiwi record collection" and we must say we agree with them.
Tim has just returned from a very successful brief tour of Australia playing three showcase gigs in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as support for Anika Moa. He also joined Anika on stage at the Bruce Mason Centre as support for Ryan Adams in Auckland the last couple of nights. Tim has just finished his second album, Hummabyes which we will be releasing early November and Tim will be touring round the traps with his band the Tutaes in November/December.
