Kodak Music Clip Award Winners Announced

The Fast Crew's What Happened to Yesterday14.07.07 Mark Trethewey from Fish n Clips, picked up Best Director and Best Editor for the music clip to Fast Crew's What Happened to Yesterday? at the Kodak Music Clip Awards on Saturday night at the San Francisco Bathhouse. Last year Mark was Runner Up in the directing category for Sola Rosa's Badman. He previously won Best Video at the 2004 b-Net Awards with Shane Mason for Fools Love by The Misfits of Science which made the finals of C4's Best Music Video the same year.

The Kodak Music Clip Awards are an annual ceremony celebrating the craft of making music clips. "The winning clip provided a humorous, drug-fuelled romp through urban culture. Attention to detail and complex compositing impressed the judges and the overall feel was directly in-keeping with the mood of the music," comments Dave Turnbull. Judges were Matthew Knight, Morgan Barnard and Anna Lee.

Runners up included The Datsuns' Waiting for your Time to Come, directed by feature filmmaker Greg Page (The Locals); The Black Seeds' The Answer, directed shot and edited by Ed Davis, which also picked up the award for Best Animation and SJD's Beautiful Haze, directed by Lawrence Blankenbyl, which also picked up Best DOP for Ginny Loane.

The Knack Award, presented for high production value at low production cost, went to Anastassia Smimova for The Sagittarian's Karma Killer. Finalists included for Luke Buda's Special Surprise directed by Luke Savage and David Yetton's Honey Don't Go, directed by Dylan Pharazyn and Summer Agnew.
