Die! Die! Die! sign to Tardus! Tardus! Tardus!

4.09.06 - Tardus Music, the current home of Minuit, one million dollars and Cassette, has added punk 3-piece Die! Die! Die! to their roster.

Hailing from Dunedin and Wellingon but formed on Krd in Auckland, Die! Die! Die! have solidified their hard rocking reputation in just a couple of years.

The boys have been stationed overseas for a good part of 2006, playing gigs in Australia, the US, UK, and continental Europe including a recently completed month-long residency at The Annex in New York. Die! Die! Die! are currently touring the UK to support their first single. With another UK tour planned in October, followed by an East Coast American tour around CMJ, we won't be seeing them back on home shores again until the end of the year when they'll return to release an Australia- and NZ-only EP, Locust Weeks. On the back of that they're off again on another Australian tour, then on to Japan.

Locust Weeks was recorded and mixed live during one evening in August with Kevin McMahon, engineer for The Walkmen, in a barn in upstate New York where The Walkmen's studio is housed. Die! Die! Die!'s releases prior to this include the 2004 Die!Die!Die! EP recorded in NZ with Dale Cotton (HDU, Dimmer) and the 2005 self-titled debut album recorded by Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies) in Chicago and mastered at Abbey Road in London. Their first album, already released in Australia and New Zealand, is due to be released shortly in Japan, the US and the UK.
