No Kiwi Wins at 2005 ARIA Awards
The 2005 Australian ARIA awards failed to produce a single kiwi win. Evermore were nominated in 5 categories including Album of the Year (Dreams), Single of the Year (For One Day), Breakthrough Artist - Album (Dreams), Best Rock Album (Dreams) and Best Group. Shihad were nominated in one category for Best Rock Album (Love is the New Hate).
The Melbourne Age had pointed out in its predictions for the awards that being from NZ Evermore probably weren't in with a chance. This previously hadn't stopped Split Enz being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame though.
