Kiwi Music Used on New US Comedy
The Black Seeds and Fly My Pretties have had their music featured in a new comedy, WEEDS (broadcast on the Showtime network). WEEDS is a comedy about a single mother who makes ends meet by selling marijuana in suburban Los Angeles and stars Saturday Night Live comedian Kevin Nealon.
WEEDS Music Supervisor, Amine Ramer, has been working in the music industry in the for over eight years and is a New Zealander and a founding member of ANZM. ( Music). ANZM is a networking group for NZ music industry professionals working in the Featured in the pilot episode was Tuk Tuk by The Black Seeds and Singing in My Soul by Fly My Pretties.
With the help of other NZ music professionals working in the United States Amine has managed to feature NZ music in every show she has worked on.
