Fat Freddy's, Savage, Hayley and Breaks Co-op Dominate Charts
Fat Freddy's Drop have debuted on the Official New Zealand Albums Chart at #1 with their debut album Based on a True Story. According to www.medianstrip.co.nz the event is even more notable as it marks the first time that an album released through an independent distributor, Rhythmethod, has made it into the number 1 slot.
Based on a True Story beat Shihad's Love is the New Hate into second place. This week's charts also see Savage's Moonshine get the nod for #1 Single and Hayley Westenra get the first ever kiwi #1 DVD for Live in Concert. The icing on the cake comes from Breaks Co-op who's The Other Side holds top place as most played song on radio in New Zealand.
