ARTIST: AMPERZAHN
Auckland rock band, Amperzahn, formed in July 2004. A couple of personnel changes and 18 months perfecting their sound and songwriting skills has seen them become a popular fixture in the Auckland live scene, with regular shows to a steadily growing and loyal fanbase. They combine elements of classic and modern rock within their songs, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences from Tool and Muse through to The Killers and The Darkness.
The unmistakable Amperzahn sound combines the contrasting vocals of Kristie Addison and Michelle Klaessens with dynamic and melodic play between Michelle's keyboard and Kristie's guitar. Backed by a strong rhythm section provided by Tory Staples and Johsua Smyth on drums and bass respectively.
