ARTIST: Fatt Max

Origionally from London, Fatt Max came to New Zealand in 1998.

With over 30 years writing, performing and recording music covering a wide variety of styles FM now devotes himself to the blues.

"It's a way of life, so much more than a mere genre. Blues takes your heart and soul and defines your place in this world. It simply is the music that you can live your life to."

A member of the Auckland Blues Club and as well as the biking community of NZ, Fatt Max continues to wite and perform blues music firmly embedded in everyday life. It is here to be shared, just like life itself.

At the end of the day, blues legend Willie Dixon summed it all up when he said;
"In the beginning, Adam had the blues cos he was lonesome. So God helped him and created a woman. Now everybody's got the blues"

Dearest phatt maxx - why not put your TTP album on line - it's a work of freckin genius and the world should hear and be made aware. It will make us all much more happier in these otherwise dull and desperate times!

just luv that new tune - well worth two bucks - in fact,I'd put a monkey on the table but I'm all out

You da man - keep up the good work and avoid any exercise - save that for birds with fat butts

The Dr Freddy Fat Fingers project has legs Mr Geek, lets see where we go.

TTP is 10 years old this month, thinking of re-doing the whole thing and putting it out next year, means that it goes up to 11...!

Dear Fatt Max.

I think the album is great. So much variety. Lots of not-so-obvious influences all of which have been shadowed by your genius. I felt Weller in Moving on, Hendrix in Rules, Saw Doctors (yes, Saw Doctors) in Heaven at Your Feet (and I have to ask - "Angels on your every breath" - What??). I loved the rhythm guitar on Time Goes By. My favourite is Just a Song. Terrific. Ethnic Museli - I saw tourists in Rotorua. I hope it does very well for you. You deserve it. How do you find the time? A loving wife and family obviously inspire you. Along with the other inspirations permeating your being (like that?). Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all the comments. This album has been a challenge and has been in amongst some challenging times. It is fair to say that you never really know people, including your own self and at times those who you think are there for you will turn their back on you. However, this is Garage Soul and it had to be done. Time to move along now.
Thanks again people
Peace
