In 1998, SUBTRACT released their debut EP 'Quench' through their own record label UltraSound Recordings with distribution through BMG. The EP would sell over 1200 copies, a very significant amount in fact outselling many Kiwi bands that receive major airplay on both television and radio. 'Quench' was the top seller at Real Groovy for several weeks, outselling even Massive Attack who were on tour in New Zealand. SUBTRACT were voted onto the Radio bFM top 10 and remained in the radio stations' charts for 10 weeks as well as the EP entering the NZ singles charts...
