The Choir Of Christ Church Cathedral Nelson
Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson, is the principal church of the Diocese of Nelson. The official seat of the Bishop of Nelson is found here in the sanctuary. An ancient word for this seat is cathedra hence the description of the building as a cathedral.
In February 2009, Alan K Gray came from London to join the staff of Nelson Cathedral, looking after the choir, organ and music for services as well as concert performances in this lovely building.
Former Choristers now hold posts of importance and significance and a number have gone on to become highly successful performers.
