Shelley Mac first hit the airwaves in 2006 with former Wellington band, Pearl. Six singles from the band's critically acclaimed debut album, No Ordinary Day, ended up on six Kiwi Hit discs, with Life is Beautiful (incidentally penned by Mac), reaching No. 3 on the New Zealand radio charts.

Pearl disbanded in 2009 and like many singer/songwriters before her, Mac headed to the US. As fate would have it, Mac met her match in Texas rocker, Rod Williams. The chemistry on and off stage was undeniable...
