Picking up guitar on a whim, at the ripe age of twenty, Mataolin ''Panda' Coffey immediately took to the art of song writing and within two and a half years was performing before live audiences. In his formative years, he toured following the American jam band, The Grateful Dead during their Shakedown Street and Mega-Dead periods. It was during this time that Panda was exposed and influenced by a unique blend of different styles of music...

Panda, a funky, soulful singer/songwriter classifying his music as "Soul Folk", will be headlining the bill at the coolest, new venue on the strip, The Garden Club.
After topping the New Zealand charts for 6 months, he will be headlining a show joined by two other acts on this music-filled Friday night.
Joining him on stage will be some really great musicians, veterans from the local Wellington music scene, Mostyn Cole on bass and Reuben Bradley on drums & Jared Taylor on keyboards joining him on stage with other local musicians as his backing band. This is definitely one concert not to miss. More details on the line-up are on the way!!!
Tickets are $20.00 at the door on the night but pre-sales tickets are available online @ Dazzle Tickets for $18.00.
