The Ponsonby DC's
The Ponsonby DC's was a bunch of good friends doing a few gigs and parties in Auckland in the mid 80s. They released an EP in the late 80s, which included the single G'day Mate, to much critical acclaim.
Guitarist and bassist Keith Dion headed to the States after the EP was recorded and at the encouragement of Dead Kennedys members (who he was living with at the time) got a 12" vinyl pressed and released it to US alternative college radio, recieving significant airplay and reviews from the likes of Spin magazine...
