SELF STYLED is an Auckland NZ based collective, consisting of musicians from Definite & Bling (Capital Recordings), Kolab and Lojac . Definite (beats, bass, scratches, vocals), Surreal (guitar, vocals), Lockie (beats, vocals), Will Tracey (keys, vocals, engineer) and Mikey (drums, percussion).
With the influence of Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, Rock, Funk and other more eclectic forms, SELF STYLED combine live instruments, sample based beats and rhythmic vocals to create original tracks. '92 Styles' is an upbeat funky hip-hop with an old school feel, while 'Sublime Poetry' is darker and slower with an ambient jazzy feel...
