is this thing on?

08.09.10
Today's featured release is one that is assured of getting Mr Business Manager nodding his head and bouncing away on his seat so please be warned, this music may cause dancing and as such is an affront to all us angry people.
iPhone Music Award geeks should check the app store for the Music Awards app... it has pictures and you can vote for the People's Choice Awards via yourhandset, possibly whilst taking a bath.
Release Of The Day:
Concord Dawn - Forever - Single
Kiwi dnb act Concord Dawn join forces with Rikki Morris to make Forever a melancholic post romantic electro pop cut.
The first single from the 5th studio album from Concord Dawn - The enemy Within, due for release on September 20th.
To celebrate the release of the new album 'The Enemy Within' Matt will return from Vienna for a nation wide tour through September and October. The tour kicks off on the 17th in Dunedin.
Charting The Mainstream
Stan Walker makes way for a couple of them foreign types to find his latest album From The Inside Out at number 3 this week but he can take some consolation in that its now gone gold.
Probably the success story of the year Gin is up next at 46 weeks in the chart for Holy Smoke... she's going to be a tough contender for the people's choice award. Opshop are just behind Gin and a few places back are the Kids Of 88's Sugarpills.
The Earlybirds drop twenty places to a still respectable 27 and Nesian Mystik are at 31. Finally and no doubt on the back of their cleaning up the Technical Music Awards and raft of nominations for the 'proper' Music Awards Buffalo from The Phoenix Foundation wanders in at 36.
I've all but ignored the singles chart the past couple of weeks as its bored me to tears but this week I've returned to see how mr green has fared in singlesland... and we've seven singles this week Stan Walker leading the charge with Choose You at number 3. Six60 rock up at number 5 with their single Rise Up 2.0.
Brooke Fraser is at 10 with Something In the Water and at 14 band to watch right now the Naked And Famous have their latest single Punchin In A Dream, the greedy pigs have also taken the 25 spot with Young Blood.
Between there two entries is Dane Rumble with Takes Me Higher. Finally in Downtown we find the Kids Of 88 at 39.
The Great NZ Songbook Vol 2 stays at number one in the compilation charts and is joined by Volume 1 at 8.
