Whilst serious people continue to say serious things about a couple of old sheds here on the internet we have music and sunshine and and and and your eyes, so make the most of them and your mouse finger and get clicking.... you never know what you may see / hear / find.

Let me suggest you kick off your visit by grabbing the free Pistol Youth track below.

Pistol Youth- Find the Other Shoe

Pistol Youth is a rock n roll experiment crossing four bands and three countries... Brad Carter from Steriogram, Michael Guy Chislett from The Academy Is..., Gavin from Wash, and Anders Christian Borgh from The First Class Hitmen...

Having previously released an EP recorded across the internet the group have just released their debut album My Own Private Amsterdam which was recorded last year when the members met up in Los Angeles.

To celebrate the new album the band have given us Find The Other Shoe to share with you free for a week.

Release Of The Day:
Neil Finlay - Stop & Listen

Neil Finlay has been a blues enthusiast since he first discovered the music some 30 years ago when he was a teenager. Although over the years he has been involved with many rock, country, Irish and dance music bands, it is the old-time blues to which he keeps returning.

He maintains that most of what he plays, either on guitar or harmonica, is blues that he adapts to fit other musical forms - after all, a lot of country music and most rock and roll is derived from older blues styles. He's also a photographer and author of Sacred Soil: Images and Stories of the New Zealand Wars (Random House).

The CD Stop and Listen is a collection of some of Neil's favourite blues songs played in the blues thumping, finger-picking style on an acoustic resonator guitar with Peter Parnham on double bass. Harmonica has been added to a few tracks in what adds up to an album of great Kiwi blues music
