With NZ Music Month over we head into the winter months, a time traditionally busy on the release front, so strap in as the serious music months kick in.

But before you get all depressed about winter... here's a homage to summer...

Release Of The Day:
The Bathtub Sophist - Main Crop: Vol 1

Released on 31st May 2010, Main Crop: Vol 1 is the first of a series of four concept EP's themed around the seasonal wonders of our urban and rural environments.

This first edition, inspired by Summer, incorporates ambient and focal field recordings as well as elements of flamenco, dub-reggae, classical and west-African musics - to name but a few.

The Bathtub Sophist is a Hamilton based instrumentalist and music producer. His music presents an eclectic mix of organic and synthetic elements woven together in a unique package.
