There's Nothing We Can't Pretend

 There's Nothing We Can't Pretend

19.04.10

I popped my head into the High Seas on Saturday to celebrate Record Store Day, at least I think the day is meant to be a celebration - it's hard to say as it the whole concept seems like a wake before the fact. And I guess thats the point, you've got to support your local music pusher, if you still have one.

Now for those of you stopping our store today by looking for something enw to try, today we reckon you should consider this:

Release Of The Day:
Tyson Smith - There's Nothing We Can't Pretend

With funk, rock, jazz, blues, folk and world music elements, There's Nothing We Can't Pretend is nothing if not eclectic!

Tyson Smith describes it as a compilation album, with songs penned over the last half dozen years against various backdrops.

He is joined on There's Nothing We Can't Pretend by Darren Mathiassen (Hollie Smith), Jonathan Crayford (Eru Dangerspiel), Johnny Lawrence (Otautahi All Stars) and Lisa Tomlins (Rhombus).
