Wax on, wax off

16.04.10
Mr Music Manager and myself held a high powered meeting at Amplifier HQ late last night, devising a strategy for our forthcoming debut DJ set during NZ Music Month - our first and most important consideration being in the digital music realm was what format we should favour... and after much deliberation we opted for cassettes, we are so old skool.
Imagine our disappointment on finding there won't be the right equipment for our preferred format... so we've opted for trying to stick to vinyl... for we love vinyl here at Amplifier, we dig MP3's as well but our collector gene goes all ga ga for the wax... if you suffer a similar affliction we've two fresh slabs of wax to present to you...
Release(s) Of The Day
The Black Seeds - Afrophone/Rotten Apple
The Black Seeds present this strictly limited edition 7" vinyl single featuring two dancefloor favourites from their most recent album, the critically acclaimed Solid Ground.
There are only 150 copies available worldwide!
The Ruby Suns - Fight Softly
Fight Softly is the second solo album for Sub Pop by NZ's own indie popsters The Ruby Suns and this is the vinyl version!
Ryan McPhun, who with Fight Softly, has concocted the kind of head-spinning combination of big-picture vision and sumptuous detail that only comes from a special kind of artist.
This single LP vinyl comes housed in a gatefold sleeve and with a free download coupon.
